Today is Easter Sunday, which in our house means the day starts off with an Easter Egg hunt. So much fun, for the kids but also for me- I loved hunting as a kid and now love watching as a parent.
E is a pro by now, but O would get distracted by the "Chocolate Eggs!!!" and start eating each one part-way through the hunt. So cute. Lovely to see the kids be super kind and generous to each other with their eggs, "Here you go O, you can have this one". This doesn't always happen!
I have Friday to Monday off this weekend, Al's parents have driven from interstate and are staying with us for the next couple of weeks which is great! It's been a fairly low key few days which has been lovely. The kids have loved having time with their grandparents, we've loved having the aupport with the kids and I've even been able to pop out for a walk or to the shops on my own on a weekend which is a novelty!
Yesterday I got out for a couple of hours which the kids were playing with the grandparents. I went to a cafe and had an Iced Latte while planning my next Quintile (Term 2 of the kids school, which runs April - June) and the month of April. I also did some shopping including some photo frames to put up the kids school photos. It felt luxurious.
Ready to plan. I'll share the outcome in tomorrow's blog post.
After the excitement of the Easter Bunny's egg hunt this morning, the rest of the day is very low key for us. Al has to work today (he has tomorrow off- yay!), but the rest of us will mostly be at home I think. Might take the kids to the park later since the suns out. Lots of coffee, a long walk, and some reading also planned for today. Happy Easter to all those who celebrate!
Have a lovely Easter weekend! Little kid Easter egg hunts are so entertaining . Our now 4 year old hunted for the first time at 2 and she was very confused by proceedings.
Happy Easter. Isn't it wonderful to get to re-live the joy of holidays through our kids eyes? Sometimes I think it is almost more magical than my experiences as a kid!
