I can't do all the things
The last few weeks I'd slowly been feeling more and more overwhelmed with life, the sheer number of work, personal, family, and life admin tasks have been stacking up. When I set all my goals in January, the kids hadn't yet started school or activities, work was quiet, and everything seemed do-able. Over the past couple of months, the calender has gotten more and more full. This is definitely a busy time of year, but over the past week, I've spent a number of early morning

2025 Spending Review
Somehow its been two weeks since I last posted! These two weeks have been busy, chaotic, and fun. There's been juggling work and school holidays (so thankful to grandparents who have helped out 3 days per week!), there have been family birthdays with eating out and even a local waterway cruise for my mum's birthday which was really fun, there has been some entertaining - playdates and having our neighbours over for dinner. And I've been working on my writing too. E helped me

2026 Goals
I love setting goals. Over the last few weeks, I've spent quite a bit of time thinking about my intentions for 2026, and followed much of Sarah's method outlined in her new Best Laid Plans book! (The physical copy I pre-ordered has been delayed so I went ahead and bought the Kindle edition to get me started on the new year). What does 2026 look like for me and the family? Before creating my goals, I looked closely at 2026, and what to expect. A few features are: both kids a

Blog is 1, and a few updates
A few weeks ago was the first birthday of this blog! For some reason I thought it was late March, but when I checked, my first ever blog post was actually March 1st, 2024 . Since that first post, I have written and published 90 blog posts. Reflecting on the last 13 months, I've definitely learnt some things along the way: Blog posts take time to write - perhaps others are quicker, but it takes me about 45 - 90 minutes to write a post that takes 3-5 minutes to read. My orig

Finally making progress
WELL. It’s been quite a fortnight , trying to a) catch up on an increasingly overwhelming workload at work, b) tame our house that got out of control during the cyclone scare, c) manage extra kids stuff including medical appointments - all while battling some mood and energy issues that have meant I have NOT felt myself. Overall, no major disasters have occurred that would explain why this past two weeks have felt SO hard, to the point where I couldn’t even blog. I think it
