She’s Nine!

It was E’s birthday on Sunday.

We just had a low key dinner with my parents on Sat night, Al was working Sunday so next weekend we’ll visit his family and then her friends party will be in a few weeks. She had a great time, and loved her “Nyan Cat” cake (her latest obsession). My dad made it and it wasn’t perfect (it was a HARD assignment) but he put a lot of love into it and she adored it.

It’s funny how time works- in some ways 9 years has flown by, in other ways I can’t even remember how life was before.

She was angelic baby, who almost never cried. She also didn’t nap very long, always keen get back to interacting with the world.

As a toddler, she was wild! She never walked, she ran… everywhere, but usually away from as so we had to chase her. At two she climbed out of our lounge room window via the window seat when I was in the next room, climbed through our hedge and when I chased her, started to run toward traffic! When I caught her just in time, she was laughing. What a fun game! She also jumped in the deep end of the pool and Al had to jump in after her, fully clothed. When she wasn’t giving as a heart attack, she was the cutest, sweetest, happiest toddler ever.

As she’s gotten older, she’s grown into her love for music, writing stories, her family (especially little bro O), drawing, curiosity, kindness, and of course still being a little wild (her hobby is rockclimbing).

She truly is our sunshine and I’m so glad I’m her Mum.
Happy Wednesday All!
